Roon ready but without HQPlayer support (Mac OS)

Just bought a RS150b last week, it was a great Streamer and also come with a nice USB DAC, however when running Roon with HQPlayer are doesn’t work fine. What’s up Rose still haven’t optima of HQP yet?

Actually, I reach some setting review for HQP, it need a NAA software to config and define USB IN as a NAA DAC, as a music lover who are chasing for better sound quality, on such case I’m very disappointed

My previous low end streamer [ifi ZEN Stream] also can support HQP NAA as a end point with ifi software support, will Rose consider to develop that program for complete our user experience on Rose products, I think is it a simple task or Rose never consider it, please reply

Hello.

In order for Rose to appear in the output list when sending HQPlayer’s output to the network, HQPlayer NAA (Network Audio Adapator) must be installed on Rose, but currently Rose products do not support HQPlayer NAA.
The NAA installation and executable files provided by HQPlayer are for general-purpose OS (Windows, Linux, MAC, etc.), so they are not compatible with Rose.

Regarding future support, we will try to review internally and contact HQPlayer.
However, please know that even if we want to, there is no way to apply NAA right now unless HQPlayer discloses NAA for our OS.

Thanks for reply, the fact it other low end brand are can getting HPQ authorization, that mean If Rose have development schedule for optima HPQ support will not a issue, we are looking forward on it

And maybe Rose can call Roon for assistance

I also want to use HQ player, at least implemented thru Roon. Do you have any plans to get it? Or is it just a part of a generic wish list? Thx
