Roon USB output problem

I have a Hifi Rose 250 and I use the USB ouput to my Kii three speakers
I use Roon version 1.8 build 831.
After I touch ‘play’ two blue popups appear one after another: “select an audio zone” and there is playing nothing.
I try again on ‘ play’ and the audio starts this time.
Is it possible that one must update the Raat version or is this a Roonlabs problem ?
I tested the other outputs and they are working fine.
The problem is that I am obliged to use the USB output.

Hello,

I’m not sure if I understand the situation correctly.

Is RS250 connected to RoonCore via USB directly?
Or is there a separate RoonCore?
And it’s connected via RS250 > USB DAC > Kii three speaker?

There is a Roonserver Intel Nuc.
And the RS250 is USB conected to Kii three speaker control.
The problem is eminent since the software update of Roonlabs 1.8

Hello,

I’m sorry, but contacting ROON seems like a better way to get a solution if it happened since Roonlabs 1.8.

Hi Roseloa,
I reported the problem to Roon, I didnot receive any answer.
Another question for you: is the Raat sdk of Roon updated to the last version in your new
Rose OS 4.0?
Greetings

Hello,

Yes, ROSE’s network players(RS150B, RS250, RS201) are all ROON READY, and updating to ROSE 4.0 does not change this.

hi Roseloa,
This is my question, see below

Hello! I have been thinking of purchasing a HiFi Rose and I am a heavy Roon user as well. I have been scanning the HiFi Rose Community boards looking at problems and positive things current owners are experiencing with this units. How has your experience been? I had heard some things do not work with Roon, like all the VU Meters and things like that. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Roseloa,

The problem is fixed : changing ‘USB/SSD Power activation setting in standby mode to On’

Kevin was very helpful, hie said:

We will adjust the timing a bit so that even devices that are initialized late will work well.
Please use USB/SSD power activation in standby mode for the time being.
