The problems with this thing never end and get worse over time. Now it cannot find and read the songs stored on the internal and external drives seeing only 000 for data. Thisn is so no matter if i reset or rescan. Since this machine has no intelligent way to save or restore or even download to the internal storage this makes the machine possibly the worst piece of “audiophile” equipment i ever bought.
How do i restore my data without wiping the drives and manually and laboriously trying to reload it? Do you poeple never have a good answer?
HMM, I see many used ones coming up for sale, make me want to buy a Lumin U2 instead.
HJK - After the last software update, the device said I had no SSD installed. I tried restart and reboot with no success. Out of desperation, I unplugged the device for 30 seconds. Plugged it back in and restarted. My SSD magically reappeared. I know this makes no sense but it worked.
Thanks! I did try that. I fear the data are corrupted on mine
Yes, I’ve seen many come up for sale too. I gave up and sold mine.
Please check a few things.
-
Reboot the device completely by turning it off and unplugging it for 30 seconds before turning it back on.
-
Ensure the external drive is formatted in exFAT or NTFS, and that folder/file names contain only standard characters (non-Unicode characters can sometimes cause scanning errors).
-
If you still see only “000”, please connect the drives to a computer to verify whether the files are still visible and accessible. This will help determine whether the issue lies with the drives or the unit’s indexing.

Is your storage device not recognized when you go to Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Media library?
Thanks for the reply.
There are no zero bit files in the external drive. I cannot check the internal drive
It does play some things and scans the data but in the system settings in the media library it says "not connected” for both drives:
Update - the machine is now pretty much unusable. What a piece of…
how much of a reset caan i do on the internal drive through your software without actually erasing the internal drive itself? If I use the delete DB button in the media library settings and then rescan will the original data on the disc be preserved and reread?
Is there any way to backup the internal drive without removing it?
Thanks
Even if you delete the DB, the music source stored in the SSD will not be deleted.
Only the DB of the music source stored in the SSD will be deleted.
You must press DB Scan to load the DB of the music source stored in the SSD and play it.
Still no solution or suggested solution to the problem, as usual
I have checked all the parts that need to be checked for you.
If your RS130 does not recognize a different SSD than the one you are currently using, it seems that the part that recognizes your RS130 SSD needs to be repaired.
