Rose 150B Display not working

Hi all,

I recently purchased a used Rose 150B and while I have been enjoying it for the last couple of months, today the display turned off! It is just staying off, the unit works and plays music fine and I can navigate through Ipad app but the display is off not showing anything…

Hopefully someone can help me with this…

Didn’t you accidentally activate the LCD on/off function?

Well I have pressed that button several times on the iPAD app after the display was dead and it does not do anything…

You could try turning the unit off completely using the rear button and turning it back on again, don’t you even see the initial logo when you turn it on?
I don’t know what else to suggest…

Tried that as well, no I don’t even see the logo.

There is a reset switch at the back of the unit that I just noticed, looks like it needs to be pressed with pin, I wonder if that would help…?

well it seems that the display or the circuit that controls it has failed, at this point it is better to follow what the Rose support operating on this forum want to suggest.

Yes, seems that way indeed… Unfortunate the unit is 2021…

@Stan

Seems like the LCD should be replaced.
Please contact your distributor to get LCD replaced.
Please contact a distributor in the country where you purchased the RS150 for repair.

Thank you

These failed screens are happening at greater frequency. Is this a known problem. Why do this screens suddenly fail?

@duffer5

Of course, it would be nice not to have this problem, but we sell more devices around the world than you might think.
Even other electronic devices are not perfect. Even famous brands are facing this problem. With Rose, you can feel that way because if you have any problems, you don’t have to contact the distributor, but you post them on the community and you can see them yourself. We will work to further reduce the frequency of this problem.

Rosehan, of course every equipment can fail here and there that’s understandable, although I never ever had any gear fail on me before, high end gear that is. That is why I was very confident buying it used before. It is also unfortunate that the warranty is not transferable, considering this unit has a date of 2021, October, one would hope that this kind of thing would be under warranty but I was told that your warranty is not transferable…

@Stan
There is no separate provision for warranty extension for Hi-Fi Rose products.
Even if the warranty period has expired, if you contact me or a Hi-Fi Rose distributor, we may be able to resolve some issues free of charge.

Hi Rosehan,

I just sent you a message, lets see if anything can be done…

The warranty has not expired, this unit was bought from an authorized dealer less than a year ago. Problem is I then bought this unit off of the original owner and apparently the warranty is not transferable, I am hoping that there can be an exception as this unit was bought 9 months ago. The rep here in Canada has quoted me $1650 and that is him not even charging me for the labour, that is just the part it self…
