Rose Amp Connect & RA280

Dear Hifirose Support,

I am a new owner of RA280 amp and i am writing to seek support on the connectivity issues when using Rose Amp Connect app in my home wifi network.

Background

  1. able to download and install the Rose Amp Connect with no issues (iPhone 12 promax)
  2. able to register the amp into the homewifi as per manual instruction.
  3. when the amp is ON, able to communicate with the device on its setting and status checking.

Issue
After switching the device to OFF, the Rose Amp Connect will never able to detect the amp no matter how many times it scan the network. If i switch on the amp via the remote control , everything is back in control, until i switch if off.

So is this the issue with the app or something else need to be configured in the wifi ?
My house wifi is powered by Tplink Deco and the amp has been assigned a fixed IP with 2.4ghz wifi.

please help. thanks. KL

In settings you have to choose the normal stand by mode.

You can also switch on and off the amp in the Rose Connect app. see on the buttom.

Ok thanks for the tip, this setting change seems to help.
Do u know is there any significant different in current usage when standby under low power and normal ?

thanks for the pointer, i am aware of this function and it is very neat to see the amp is auto included in roseconnect premium.

• Low power : Deactivates the Wi-Fi function when the amplifier is powered off.

After turning on the low power function, you can only turn on the power using the power switch or remote control. (You cannot turn on the power by operating the mobile app) This function is intended to minimize power consumption. When Wi-Fi is disabled and the power is turned off, power consumption is less than 0.5W.

• General : Activates the Wi-Fi function when the amplifier is powered off.

After switching to normal mode, you can turn the power on/off using the mobile app. This function has the convenience of allowing you to freely turn the power on and off using the mobile app, but the power consumption when turning it off is approximately 1.2 W, which is slightly more than the low power standby mode.

ok thank you for the explanation.
