Rose Connect app cannot find my 150b

My Rose Connect app (on my PC) notified me that an update was available. I downloaded and installed it, now the app can’t find my 150b, even though it was connected when it prompted me to download and install the update.

How do I get the Rose Connect app on my pc to find my 150b?

The app on my phone has no trouble finding my 150b on the same network.

While I realize that I can manually input the IP address of the 150b into the Rose Connect app, but shouldn’t the app be able to find the 150b without my intervention?

It is a pain in the ass to input this number each time I want to use the app.

This seems like a defect that should be acknowledged and fixed.

Currently, there is a symptom that the connection with the Rose device does not work well in the PC RoseConnect.

We fixed the questionable part.

I have just put another thread due to exactly the same issue , going back to provious version of PC doesnt fix so must be new firmware update

I just installed the PC version and it still cannot locate my 150b. The “fix” did nothing that I can detect.

I also have installed ver 4.6.09 and I still had the same issue . My Rose 150b IP is 192.168.1.241 my pc IP is 192.168.1.207 both have subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 so no routing issues.

I have however found my issue. It was becuase I have recently installed a new pci ethernet card with 2 1000 gbit ports . When I disablled both new ports in Control Panel > Network Settings, so only the adapter with the Rose connected was available to Windows, and then restarted Rose Connect - it found the device straight away :0) - so looks like Rose Connect software doesnt like multiple adapters connected to the OS and gets confused …
