Rose connect iOS app issues

there are some issues with the iOS app:

  1. browsing music database is a mess. “Genre” and “Artists” under “Classificazione” don’t show items in alphabetical order, “ALBUM” too. “Composer” doesn’t show item covers, and it show some “unknow” composers mistakenly (the tag composer is ok in the files).
    All these problems do not exist on the device. They only show up on the app. The database is better handled on the rose device, but on the app it is messy and faulty.

  2. The Italian translation is not very good and sometimes it is difficult to understand what a function does. Furthermore Italian and English terms coexist. At this point it would be more useful to be able to choose the language. Probably the English translation would be more understandable

This is an old post, but it seems most relevant to my observation. On the iOS app, on the Music page, is there even any classification ability? I see no way to select Genre, or Artist, or anything like that.

@Tony22

When you connect the storage device to the Rose device and the scan is completed normally, you can see various classification methods as below.

RoseConnect iOS app–>Music–>Classification–>You can check the classification methods such as Song/Genre/Artist/Composer.

Yes, I see the selection titles, but nothing appears on the screen under any of these. Do I need to do a delete and rescan of everything?

Why does it say “All music playlist”? I’m not wanting to see Playlists here, but all of my music by Classification.

Is all this happening because I no longer have a Media Library connected via smb/smb2? Is this necessary since we now have DLNA functionality? I thought with DLNA we no longer need to do the manual adding of a media library via smb.

@ROSEHAN, I hope you can help. I added my NAS path to the Music Library (although it still says smb and not smb2, which is what I typed in) and did a Db Init, still nothing showing up under Music.

@Tony22

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Do your music files appear in Albums, not Classifications, in your iOS app?

  2. Do your music files appear in the Albums list on your Rose device?

No.

No.
