Rose Connect Premium/One app disconnects

Hi there, good morning!

I have a recurring issue that the Rose Connect Premium app disconnects while using the app. Songs are still playing from the playlist, but I cannot change anything (volume, song, etc.) from the app but instead get a popup that states “Rose-Verbindungsfehler”
Translated:

Rose-Connection error
Please reactivate the network connetion from ROSE.

The button: Change device brings me to the device search dialogue.
There I can seach for the device but it is not found. If I enter the IP of the RS451 directly and press connect it jumps back to the error popup.

In the same time on the device itself I can play songs I never played, which shows that network is working. I can even reach out to the http://deviceip:8080 and get the “Index of /” site, even from my phone the app is not connecting from.

Rose Connect One states “SSL timeout” in the “Device Connection Status-Diagnose” (translated).

The RS451 is connected with ethernet, phone is on wifi, but same subnet (/24). They can see each other. Network is not congested.

Since I cannot use Tidal Connect (no support), Spotify Connect (device crashes, no lossless, please see my other post), and now the apps are not working, I can only use the device with the touch screen + remote, which is not really acceptable. Can you please advice what I can do? Thanks a lot.

Update: since yesterday, the apps did not connect at all…

Sometimes, the Windows app connects. Android app still not connecting.

Please check the following:

  1. Are your PC and Rose device connected to the same IP network?
    Go to:
    Rose device → Settings → System Info → Check the IP Address shown.

The IP address of the Rose device and the IP address of your PC must match in the first two sections (the first two numbers separated by dots).

Example) Correct
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
PC IP Address: 192.168.4.33

Example) Incorrect
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
PC IP Address: 192.168.6.33

  1. Please try restarting your router, then reconnect both your PC and RS451 to the network.
  2. Please let us know the version of the RoseConnect PC app you are using.
  3. Please provide the software version of your RS451.
    RS451 → Settings → System Info → System Version Info
