Rose hifi 150b - HDMI ARC issue

Good evening!

I’m extremely happy with the 150b, but the last days I was experiencing some flaws with sound playback over hdmi arc. The device switched sometimes on its own from hdmi arc to tv sound and now there is no sound whatsoever through hdmi-arc.

Anyone experienced the same? Any suggestions?

It worked perfectly before. I have the latest software update.

Please check a few things.

  1. When you use HDMI ARC, is the input setting on your RS150b set to ARC IN?
  2. Are your TV and RS150b connected to the ARC OUT / IN port?
  3. Even if you factory reset your RS150b, will you still not be able to hear the TV sound when using HDMI ARC?
    RS150b–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset

I have factory reset the Rose, tried different hdmi cable, input setting is hdmi arc. It didn’t help.

Any other suggestions?

And yes, hdmi cable is connected to the hdmi arc port on tv and rose.

It should work if everything is connected properly and ARC IN is activated…
Would you double check these? These are often mistakes made by customers.

  1. There’re two separated HDMI ports in RS150B rear, HDMI and HDMI ARC. The most often mistakes made by customers, sometimes even I do.

  2. In TV settings, please check if CEC is ON.

  3. Please check if PCM output is activated in TV settings.

  4. If the TV separates ARC and eARC in settings, please check ARC out is activated, not eARC.

  5. I’m not sure with Sony TV, but if the TV has option to turn off 3D surroundings for ARC, please turn off.
