Rose mobile app network scan

Hi,

When ever I run mobile app (rose hifi) it always shows the last connected device but does not save other discovered devices.
So any time I try to switch between the devices need to “rescan” the network again and again.

Having 3 devices (rs201e,rs520,rs150b) trying to control, that is frustrating experience.

Why scan profile is not saved for later usage and need to rescan to find devices each and every time?

Who made such decision and for what reason? it worked properly in the past.

Besides I do not use my mobile as playback device thus do not need to have it visible all the time on the main screen, let me choose if I would like to use it or not.

Mmh, I’ve only two devices, but both are shown without a new scan:

Do you’ve registered the Rose devices for your mobile/tablet?

Close the app and run it again,. I only have the last device and need to rescan for others to appear in the list except mobile phone which I anyhow don’t need nor use…

Out meaning about “rescan” is different. For getting the other devices, you need only go to “Anschließbare Geräte” and this is not a full rescan.

So, chaging the device

Apps rescans the network again:

Finally the other devices appear:

So, how that proces is normal and intuitive since the previous app versions had normal behavior and remember the devices already scanned.
Why would anyone rescan the network all the time switching devices?

Any news on that front?

@mkii

I checked your post and it seems that you have 3 Rose devices all connected to the same network so when you use your RoseConnect app again it searches for the device.

We also have multiple Rose devices connected to the same network.
We are experiencing the same issue as you.

Exactly, it is very ‘hard’ to remember IP of the devices for the next app startup…

@mkii

We can’t do anything about this issue.
Since all three of your products are connected to the same IP network, you may have difficulty or confusion when searching for your product in the RoseConnect app.

@ROSEHAN I have the same issue, the DEMO unit I tested and sent back is still showing up like this, how do I delete it from the app?

@Gorsti

Does this mean that a device that is not currently there is displayed as a connectable device in your RoseConnect app?

Don’t understand your answer. Are you saying the app can’t remember IP address of scanned devices and reuse them next time? That’s exactly how older version of mobile app was working, it remebered all devices and there was no need to ‘scan’ again except if I didn’t press the button to scan/refresh.

Yes! That device is on top, I have to go down and connect my current device. I did delete the app and re installed but it is still there
