Rose ONE has 2 different queues

I’ve noticed that when I use the Rose One app and consult the queues that there are two different ones.

The main queue holds all internal SSD audio files, rose tube videos, Qobuz songs, etc.

The second queue holds only internal SSD videos and nothing else.

Is there a way to integrate all media regardless of location into one queue?

Noticed that this also impacts the navigation tools on both the app and the device. In other words, you can’t use previous or next item in the navigation buttons with actual content that was played from two different queues.

The queue is always set to Unified by default.

Could you please capture and send screenshots similar to the ones I shared below?

I’m not sure what you mean by the main queue and the second queue being separated, so I would appreciate it if you could show us exactly what you’re seeing.

HiFiRose response: “Hello I have reviewed the video you sent. RoseTube videos, music stored on the SSD, Qobuz, TIDAL, and similar audio sources all share the same playback queue. However, videos stored on the SSD use a separate queue. SSD-stored videos are not linked to the RoseTube video queue, and they are not mixed with the audio playback queue. They are grouped only with other videos stored on the SSD in their own dedicated queue. Thank you”

Thanks for reviewing my video describing the issue. It appears HiFi Rose dev team won’t be integrating all media played into a single queue. Could you provide an answer why not, please?

If that is true then, how can we clear the queue (of old videos in that unique SSD queue, for example) located from the SSD drive? There appears to not be as much control over that queue as the Integrated queue (the “RoseTube” queue…as you refer to it) is with its’ sources. Please provide instruction.

Here are screenshots of each of the 2 queues we are talking about.

Thank you. After 150b firmware update, I now see the select/delete queue option for SSD bideos and it reflects same in Rose ONE app.

ask 1: Circling back on the original question. It’s still very inconvenient to have 2 separate queues, as I like to watch and listen to varied content from the Rose 150b and often switch between them all. The option to only clear out the video queue from the Rose device and not the Rose ONE app is not optimal. If dev could INTEGRATE the 2 queues into one would be wonderful.

ask 2: Also, sometimes I get to watch internal SSD videos at the last playback position which is very convenient for coming back to a video after a break and not losing the place I last watched.

Can that be implemented for all source media content? Couldn’t the Rose device have (queue) code that knows where in the media it last played? For example, VLC has a feature that allows the user to either playback from last played position OR playback from the beginning (both audio and video)

This would be most welcome from the Rose device, if it’s possible.

Regarding videos, when playing content stored on an internal SSD or an external USB drive, there is currently no alternative other than managing the video queue separately.

That said, I will check with our development team to see whether it is possible to integrate the audio and video queues into a single unified queue, as you suggested.

I will also ask the development team whether it would be possible to add a resume playback feature that remembers the last playback position for both video and audio content, allowing playback to continue from where it was last stopped.
