Hello everyone,
I have in my setup (RS 150B only as streamer bridge connected via USB with external DAC, i.e. T II. The analogue signal is sent via XLR output from Terminator II to my preamplifier, ModWright DM 36.5, and I use it to drive my active speakers) recently replaced the previous DAC (Cayin CS 100 DAC) with the Denafrips Terminator II. The problem now is that in this constellation, the volume control of the preamplifier has to be turned up to more than 3/4 of the total scale in order to just reach room volume! The Terminator II is practically unusable in this way! I had no such problems with the Cayin DAC and it was possible to use the entire volume range. I have also tested all other digital outputs in RS 150B (Coax, AES, OPT) with the same problem!
Does anyone have an idea how I can turn up the digital signal on the RS 150B in this constellation? The Terminator II has no volume control!
I would be very grateful for your helpful answers and please don’t make any comments like “why change the DAC when everything was working fine”.
Best regards
Reza
How are you using Software Volume Control On/Off?
Can’t adjust the volume when Software Volume Control is off?
If the volume cannot be adjusted, there is no other way.
Thank you
Hallo,
