Rose RS250 USB and coxial issue

Hi rose team,

I bought the RS250 new when it first launched, I connect it to my int. amp Mcintosh MA6700 via USB and Coxial. However, sometimes after playing a few songs (say 6 to 7 songs), the connection of USB or Coxial would be broken, RS250 still playing the song but MA6700 no signal, no sound. I then need to reboot both devices and have the music back on again.

Is it like a handshake problem which cannot be fixed or other problems?

Sorry for the late reply. I have a few questions for you.

  1. When there is no signal, is there no sound even if the MA6700 is rebooted?
  2. Is it normal if you connect and play the MA6700 with a source device other than RS250?

Hi, thx for your reply.

1.) If MA6700 rebooted, sound will return. When I reboot MA6700, rose 250 noted DAC turned off and will stop playing. Once MA6700 rebooted, I press the “play” button again on Rose 250, will have sound.
2.) yes, normal when I connect MA6700 to other sources.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I forwarded the information to the software team, and they said it seems to be a hardware issue.
I think you will need to contact the distributor in the country where you purchased the RS250 to get it repaired.
