Rose server connection failed

When using a wired ethernet connection on my RS150b, I get the error message, “Rose server connection failed”, and the unit cannot see the latest firmware. (It repeatedly reports, “This is the latest version.”) However, when using the WiFi connection, it can connect to the Rose server normally, and download the latest firmware.

Hello,

  1. When did ethernet stop working properly? Did it happen suddenly yesterday?
  2. Is it not solved even after ROSE update?
  3. When you connect the ethernet cable to other devices such as PC, does it work well?

Best Regards,

No. The problem has existed since I first set up the unit about a month ago.

No. The problem still exists even after ROSE 4.5 update.

Yes. The ethernet cable works fine when connected to other devices.

I am currently monitoring the unit and how it communicates. Perhaps my firewall is blocking certain ports. Is there a list of ports that ROSE uses to communicate with the Rose Server? I will update you with my findings when they are complete.

I can confirm that my firewall was the issue in this case. There were several ports that needed to be opened in order for the Rose unit to communicate properly. My fault for not checking the firewall first.

Mine doesn’t connect even on wifi. So even the tutorials section can’t be used. Were you able to solve this problem?
