Why do I fail to connect the RoseConnect Premium app installed on a Ipad 11 Pro, the 3rd generation with RoseStreamer 150B, as Ipad_ul and RS 150B are connected to the same Ruter? What am I not doing well?
Please check a few things.
- To connect the RoseConnect app and your Rose device, they must be connected to the same network.
Example) Correct
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
RoseConnect IP Address: 192.168.4.33
Example) Wrong
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
RoseConnect IP Address: 192.168.6.33
- What is the system version of your RS150b?
RS150b–>Settings–>System info–>System version info
I cant access my Rose 150B at all with my RoseConnect App on my IPHONE since latest update.
Its difficult enough to navigate this device software idiosyncrasies all the time without this major hurdle.
Using your last explanation What is the system version of your RS150b?
RS150b–>Settings–>System info–>System version
I have identified on the 150B device IP 192.168.0.114
I have verified that is correct on my Modem Gateway list as an ethernet connection.
When I scan on the App (which i deleted and reloaded from App Store in frustration and lost my my home network music links) and enter the IP above it says incorrect so what do I enter ???
I find all this far too tedious and now cant use my 150B at all as need to use touch screen which in my wheelchair is most difficult and very disappointing as always too hard for accessing NAS stored via either network or SMB - changes too often and lose connections and gave up on using my 4TB SSD and Rose CD player. I have had this all for over 3 years and rarely use it compared to my Sony HAP S 1 or Eversolo DMP 6 as they are so much easier. The 150B is a great looking and fully featured device and when working well connected to my Marantz or Luxman amps sound terrific but please lets provide a reset to simplify its use.
Please advise how I now use my Rose Connect Premium app so can use the Rose. Thanks
Good morning @BigAlWA,
I have assigned my 520 a fixed IP address since the first day I set up my RS 520 in the router.
That means:
The device was automatically recognized by the router and I had access to my 520 via the app. Then I went into my router’s settings and saved the automatically set IP address as a fixed IP address.
The router often assigns new IP addresses, which can be prevented with a fixed IP address.
I have NEVER had any problems with your descriptions.
Just give it a try.
Thanks, Bonte I did same when setting it up and no issues with connecting from app to 150B until this update. My issues from there over time has been making device connect within my network to other programs but always could use the app. The changes seem to arise from time to time usually after rose updates.
My IP fixed one is correct as per my last comment but when I get to this new registering page and do IP search on my iPhone and enter that IP it just says not connected to equipment, so I am stuck again!
I have allowed all access under the app in settings so where to now?
Me again @BigAlWA,
Restart smartphone!
App & device latest software version?
Delete app and then turn phone or tablet completely OFF, wait a moment…then restart. Reinstall app.
PC:
Delete temp folder contents.
Empty cache and delete cookies.
or…
MacOs: Library…cache folder…delete entire contents.
Mac…XXXX Restart.
Reinstall app.
You might also want to check the firewall!!!
Firewall approval Rose app and device
Do you use VPN???
I yes, but I don’t have any problems.
It can’t really be Rose’s fault, it works for me too!
Also and:
Open the router desktop interface and check whether there is new firmware (if set to automatic), it should always be up to date.
Then unplug the router from the power supply and give it a smoke…so wait a bit, then boot up again.
Have you ever unplugged your 150b? There is a power switch at the back that you can turn off or pull the plug.
The problem solved by switching from IPv4 to IPv6!
