RoseConnect Premium Cannot Find RS130

I bought today (19th Feb 2025) a brand new (sealed box) RS130 from the local dealer. The unit is great and sounds awesome (connected both Tidal and Q).

I cannot connect the RoseConnect Premium app one either of my phones or ipad.

I install the App
I allow all requests (find devices to local network etc)
On the page “Registering Rose”, the device is not listed nor can be found on my network.

What did I do so far:

  1. tried both on ethernet and wifi
  2. Tried to manually type the IP
  3. Turned off and on the device numerous times
  4. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times
  5. Changed router

In most of the times it gives me no message when I try to add the device IP manually, in some occasions it will return the message “Connection to the equipment failed”.

Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to have a vpn service running?
Is the Rose recognized on your network?
Did you try connecting using your computer, to understand that at least something is working over your network?

It can’t be a VPN. I’ve been using VPN since before I bought my Rose device and I still use it today with my Rose device, it works perfectly.

When I integrated my Rose into the network and it was recognized by the Rose app & smb, I went into the router settings and assigned Rose a static IP address.

Your devices will certainly be on the same network.

Are their IP addresses correct?

The commentators have repeatedly posted examples of correct and incorrect IP addresses here.

No vpn on the network
Yes it is recognized properly and gets an IP. Also when I connect to router admin I need it in the connected devices.
The RS130 is connected to the internet, as I said in my post it plays music.

The problem is that the RoseConnect Premium app does not find it! It is impractical to use the streamer without mobile app.

Problem FIXED.

My HiFi Rose was connected directly on the fiber on the provider’s box to take internet while my router was on a different port of the fiber box.

For the app to work Rose needs to be DIRECTLY connected in one of the routers ports.

Thanks for the replies. False alarm.
