Hi friends,
first of all, I’m a big fan of receiving Jazz on HD radio. Lately there are many problems with the reception of metadata and covers in the RoseRadio application. The cover art is not shown, the metadata of the album is not shown, etc. I have an Eversolo and something similar happens with the Eversolo radio APP. It even happens in TuneIn APP installed on an Android DAP and in Eversolo. Of course, not all broadcasters provide the data.
TuneIn does not respond to the problem.
I have researched on the net, yes if I know that there are many AI experts, and I have found the APP Audials that seems to work very well in the Android environment (Eversolo and DAP Ibasso in my case) I am trying it and the logo of the station almost always appears, practically always the cover art of the album and the metadata of the song.
I’m skeptical and I struggle to change software, we already know that the best software is the one we know how to use, but in this case with Audials the transition from TuneIn to Audials has been very easy and intuitive. I dare say that Audials is much friendlier and has a more comfortable interface.
I suggest HiFi Rose consider the possibility of incorporating it into the software of the devices. It’s hard to say, but much better than RoseRadio.
IP radio reception is a great unknown and there are dozens of stations with exceptional quality and programming and without advertising.
Thanks and greetings.
There is a way to display cover art when playing radio channels in the RoseRadio app.
- On your Rose device, enter the RoseStore and install the Shazam Plug-in app.
- In RoseRadio, play the radio channel that you usually enjoy listening to.
- On the radio playback screen, tap Search Music at the bottom left. This will retrieve and display the album cover of the currently playing track.
Album metadata is not displayed separately; only the audio quality, song title, and artist name are shown.
Good mornig ROSENHAN, thank you for your interest and response. I know Shazam and it is very useful and I practice it in some circumstances but it is not convenient to request it every time you want to know the song and the cover art. On the other hand, it is not always reliable, sometimes in the same song you request Shazam and it returns different results.
I have simultaneously compared the 250A with an Eversolo with Audials and Eversolo always gives the information automatically and always reliably, the 250 gives it erratically and not always.
It is more convenient and practical that it comes out automatically and not on demand. I leave it here if it is of interest.
Nevertheless, thank you.
We have also recently reviewed the possibility of supporting a feature that would automatically display album cover art without needing to press “Search Music,” but we are currently experiencing difficulties in resolving the issue.
Your requested approach is certainly much more convenient and practical.
If we find a way to resolve this issue in the future, we will make the necessary improvements accordingly.
Good morning, I am glad to read this possibility of this function.
I’m waiting for it to come true soon.
Thank you very much.
