RoseTube compensation to creators

I was having a discussion with a friend who is a YouTuber about the HiFi Rose streamers (I own the RS250). I made a comment that I liked “RoseTube” for watching concerts, and he got upset. From his perspective, not showing ads is cheating the content creators out of revenue.

Can you tell me how RoseTube works specifically? Do content creators get compensated when I watch their content?

I would appreciate a response that explains how this works rather than just saying “yes”. I would like to be able to recommend your product to people knowing the answer.

Thank you,
Buff

Hello

In the case of Rosetube, it has the function of streaming video sources posted on Youtube. To put it simply, it is a system that only streams on Rosetube using Youtube’s API. It’s not exact, but I know that the number of views increases equally. Also, it’s not that ads don’t appear on Rosetube, but they may appear occasionally.

Thank you @rosehan for a response. However it doesn’t answer the question.

I understand you are using YouTube’s API (I am in tech). The question is:

If I watch a video from Creator A on RoseTube, do they get some kind of credit. If I watched in a browser, they would get some ad revenue. If I have YouTube premium, YouTube states they share revenue with the creators. What happens with RoseTube via the API?

I have searched YouTube’s agreements that I can find on the web, an I haven’t found an answer to this when using a developer API.

I would appreciate knowing if creators get compensated when watching via RoseTube.

We cannot give you an exact answer to that part.
Please ask Youtube for the answer.
