Rosetube does not play original audio track

I am encountering more and more videos with terrible AI generated Audio tracks in foreign language. This is very irritating. It started with Russian. Now I’m getting tracks with Donald Duck speaking German. I can understand it, but that’s not the point. I just want the original audio track.

I get this more and more on equipment reviews where it makes it unwatchable. I wouldn’t even want this in my own language. It’s like a very bad parody.

Can you please make Rosetube select the original audiotrack? Or at least let me select which one I prefer, like on other Android applications?

You can think of RoseTube as 99% similar to YouTube.

RoseTube videos do not have the ability to change the audio to another country’s language.
Please take a title or screenshot of the video in question and send it to me.
Do you see any difference when you play the same video on YouTube?

Please explain in more detail.

For instance when I played this I got a very strange German voice

On this one I even got a female voice

If I play those in the Rosetube app it selects the AI generated German audiotrack for me. I’m in the Netherlands, that’s close but very irritating AI overdub.

If I use my phone for Rosetube I get the default audio, but on my RS250 I always get some AI crap.

Now if I open the last one in my YouTube app I can choose the audio if I would want to deviate from the default. But in Rosetube I always get the wrong one, just as google decides for me. Sometimes German, even Russian. Yeah, that’s real fun. :triumph:

YouTube has a feature that allows you to select and play multiple audio tracks depending on the video, but it seems difficult for Rosetube to support that feature.

On Rosetube, the language set as number 1 in the audio track settings on YouTube is played as audio for the video.

We will check if we can add that feature and add it if possible.

That is exactly what I suspected. It depends on the order of tracks and picks the first. That’s how I got Russian.

As far as we can tell, RoseTube does not support changing audio tracks.

But I noticed there are appearing more and more AI translated tracks since a month or so. It is getting very irritating. AI is starting to poison all of the internet.

Yesterday I was watching a newly posted video, just an hour old, enjoying the original voice. And then suddenly the video hickupped … and continued with the freshly AI generated German voice.

This made so angry! And it’s happening to more and more videos. Especially equipment reviews I like to watch. And even the ‘translation’ is full of errors.

As for the part where the voice appears in another language newly generated by AI, we will check how we can solve it later.
Rosetube does not support API to select that feature yet.

And if there is a typo, please let me know where you see it and I will fix it.

No typo. It’s just like I said: more and more videos are popping up that have this bad computer generated foreign language audio channels.

I just want the original audio. These fake voices totally ruin the purpose of Rosetube.

Same problem here, for the first time. Very irritating!
Use of Rosetube is now limited to music videos only.
Please solve quickly.

I have the same issue on my 150B. Since the last couple of Rosetube updates, I am getting different audio tracks on random videos. Some videos for some channels work properly with English, but some get German or Spanish audio tracks.

I have also noted that using the Rose iOS app and playing the same video through Airplay on an AppleTV will work properly. That is my current workaround, but very annoying.

It’s a ‘feature’ in YouTube Studio…:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
It’s up to the uploader, who is probably oblivious of the default ‘on’ status, to deactivate this stupid feature called Automatic dubbing.

This new Google feature sucks so incredibly. And all the content creators are not aware of this giant fuck-up…stop it now

We are aware of this issue and are working on improving it.

However, there is no API support to add this feature yet.

Hey, you know what? With YouTube changing things up, when Redtube not working at all… The Rose team fixed this error 2 days ahead of ETA. But that’s not all…

It seems like the language error seems fixed to! No more AI crap. I now get the original language again.

I like to compliment the team, even though I don’t know who fixed it, but anyway: WELL DONE.

Same problem here. And the loading of a new track lasts more than 3 minutes

If loading a track takes a long time, I find that choosing another one and then trying the one you want again will help. Mostly it starts immediately. Ie: reinitiating the request.

Did you update all. I found since YouTube changed their protocol and Rose had to do a quick fix, everything works fine.

Yes i reinstalled everything due to other issues with EA app. but stil RoseTube acts weird. wile playing an album or a playlist, it suddenly stops and staarts playing a not selected song or video.

like something is acting in the background

Instead of EA App, please update your Rose device version to 5.7 and install and use the RoseConnectPremium app.
