So far I am more than happy with this device. I have it connected to a PS Audio DSD2 and it works flawlessly. I cannot believe the SQ improvement over my previous Holo Audio red. I also play SACD via my PS audio transport and I have to say there is not much in SQ between the 130 and an SACD particularly using the upscaling of the 130. The sound has truly amazed me and together with the great functionality it has been a real hifi bargain. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I never have the problems some of you are experiencing.

I agree with you, @Ianmuir, about the sound of the 130. I also had the Holo Red, which was a nice device but to me did not sound as good. But… it was nice that a little $800 device could do DSD gapless, and the RS130 still can’t.

We had initially aimed to develop the DSD gapless feature earlier this year, but we have encountered several technical challenges during development.
We are still exploring possible ways to implement it; however, at this time, it is not an easy task.
Once our software team confirms that development is feasible, we will inform you accordingly.

This is appreciated, but still a bit disappointing to hear. For a premier streamer, I would have thought DSD gapless would have been on the list of core audio “must haves” at the start of the RS130 design.
We are continuously working on improvements.
We will do our best to implement DSD gapless playback as effectively as possible.

Thank you. In my personal opinion, DSD gapless should have been identified as a requirement, not an improvement.
