While playing September Night , Euforila by Tomasz Stanko Quartet on Tidal music, through Rose Connect from iPhone, MacBook and on RS250a on Tidal Music, half way through the 9:44 second track skips to the next selection at 5 minutes and 42 seconds. If I play through the RS250a on my iPhone , Tidal , connected using Airplay2 it plays through the entire 9:45 track. Why!!!? Why will it not play the entire 9:44 track?
Hello, anybody out there. Still having this situation. Any Tidal folks into Jazz please help me here. It’s a good tune after the first minute , it really lets go!
I found Tomasz Stanko Quartet, September Night on Qobuz. Sounds and plays fine. Not sure what’s up with Tidal?
Recommend clearing cache. At least this solves a similar issue for me with RS130. Had to clear twice for full effect (I may have missed something the first go).

Thanks for the response. I thought perhaps the same but haven’t researched the process. I’ll respond after I figure it out.
Please explain how you clear the cache. I’m experiencing the same issue. Thanks!
My understanding it must be cleared from the Tidal application. Open tidal in either iPhone of Mac, On the Mac, in the top bar to the right of the Apple is Help>Troubleshoot>Clear Cache. Then restart. On the iPhone in Settings>General>iPhone Storage>Offload App and Delete App> Then reinstall Tidal App. I did both of these and it still does not stop the problem. Perhaps someone else has more info on it! Thanks for posting.
I too cleared cache and data from Rose Connect on my phone but what ultimately worked for me with the RS130 is clearing the RS130 cache. I cleared both the default cache accessed through the RS130 settings menu via the touchscreen and the custom Tidal SSD cache I created via the touchscreen under the Tidal menu.

Full disclosure. I may have jumped the gun. Although I had success in some cases, some Tidal tracks still refuse to play through after clearing cache. I can say Qobuz had this same problem a few months back but plays the same problematic Tidal tracks now without issue. Seems to drift over time but I do believe it’s cache related. When tracks fail the grey buffer bar is overrun by the blue progress bar or the grey buffer bar jumps ahead to the end of the track and within seconds the track is abandoned.

I’m still experiencing the problem as of yesterday. It’s extremely frustrating.
Yes, these are the exact experiences I’m having with the gray bar and blue progress bar.

Dear HiFi Rose users
We have confirmed that there is currently an error when playing Qobuz and Tidal music.
We are currently investigating the cause and will fix the issue and distribute an update as soon as possible.
I have another solution to the problem you raised. Unfortunately, Rose 250 does not work properly with the Apple system. So I bought a cheap Android tablet just to support Rose, installed the application and everything suddenly works properly. The same thing happened to my friend. I recommend it!
Thanks for your response and experience.
I’ve been using my RS250a for well over a year and have had no problems using my MacBook and iPhone with Connect until a week or two ago. It is not every song and only an occasional issue. I’ve been contacted by Hifi Rose through this support page indicating they are aware of the issues with both Tidal and Qobuz and are working on a fix. I’ll hold off before purchasing any more hardware.
September Night , Euforila by Tomasz Stanko Quartet on Tidal music, through Rose Connect from the MacBook played all the way through as did another track I was aware was being shorted. Appears to be working now. I’ll have to try several other combinations on the RS250a to confirm all is well. Thanks Hifi Rose for the fix!
