Hi, do any others experience this:
Sometimes when I press volume UP or DOWN, it won’t stop, and either rushes down to zero, or up to MAX VOLUME - SCARY !
I need to keep an eye, and when this happens I need to rush to the amp and turn off, to avoid ruining my speakers.
Newest FW.
I wonder if a new RC can solve this, or if its an issue within the unit/SW?
Hi @geirium,
I’ve been using my 520 since April and haven’t noticed any problems of this kind.
I have to say, though, that I use my RC as an IR remote control.
If I hold down the button on the RC to make it louder or quieter, it stops immediately when I let go of the button, as it should be with any device, no matter how cheap or expensive.
Everything is fine with the top buttons on the 520 itself.
Everything is as it should be with the volume control in the app.
Do you use your RC with BT???
Maybe the dongle is acting up???
I think I read something about it here
With bluetooth. 98-99% ok, thats why I jump those times this happens…
I’ve had that issue too and had to exchange the RCU 4 times via the dealer until i finally got one without this issue. The dealer was so forthcoming that they sent me the replacement RCU without having to return the defective one first,
Imagine running all that with speakers with a sound pressure of 97 dB at 1 Watt output…
Oh my god, I don’t even want to think about it…
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Please contact the distributor in the country where you purchased the Rose device to request a new remote control.

Thank you
I have now received a new RC - so far no issues. Hope it keeps up
Is that a silver remote? So the problem isn’t exclusive to all silver remotes??
Yes, both silver - are there more colours…? There was one slight difference though - the new had a small sticker underneath, stating certifications, some technical stuff etc…
Yes there’s black aka plastic. Some of us were under the illusion it was all the metal ones prone to this, and maybe it was but that you got a revised version…
Could do with a replacement myself; can’t go back to my retailer though but good to know.
