My HIFI Rose RS130 won’t stay synced with my After dark Eva external clock. It connects for a few seconds and restarts same track.I tried unplugging it and turning on the Eva clock first and it worked for awhile then lost sync.
I’m stuck. Any help and suggestions would be be appreciated.
Thank you for contacting HiFi ROSE.
We apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your RS130 and the AfterDark EVA external clock.
To help us better understand the issue and investigate the possible cause, could you please provide the following information?
- Did this issue start after a specific firmware update, or was the external clock working properly before?
- Have you tried using a different BNC cable? If so, does the same issue occur?
- Is your external clock configured to output 10MHz or a different frequency?
- Does the RS130 play music normally without any synchronization issues when the external clock is disconnected?
Once we receive your feedback, we will review the information and forward it to our software team for further investigation.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
1-The Eva external clock is new and was installed on last Friday.
The RS130 has the latest firmware update.
2-I’m using Snake River Boomslang BNC cables-I have two and an Audioquest Diamond BNC.It doesn’t make any difference which one is in use.
3-The external clock is 10mhz and square wave.
4-The internal clock works fine with no issues.
I did a couple of reboots and it plays for a few seconds and goes into start over repeat. The input display shows it is connected with the green indicator.
Thanks for your response,
Mike
Since I haven’t heard from you all in awhile-I did a factory reset, changed WiFi connections, use another brand of external clock (that worked fine) but I still can’t get the RS130 to reconnect to the Eva clock.Any ideas on why it would work intermittently but now not at all?
Not happy!

Hello,
-
Did you press the ‘Create User Bundle’ button after the issue occurred on your device?
-
Does the same issue occur when playing RoseTube as it does with Tidal?
