Thinking of the combo above. Anyone with experience on it can chime in?
Yes I have this combo and the sound is excellent. Native DSD through USB supported only the rose does not support gapless DSD playback. Read everything before you buy. The rose is the best in terms of sound but bad in terms of software.
How does the T+A Dac200 compared to Ferrum Wandla? Is it completely different experience and level?
I too have the same combo. Love it, end game for me. Never compared the dac200 to the Ferrum.
Hello. Have you updated the DAC200 to the latest firmware version?
If you are referring to me yes, I have. I am on the latest firmware. I believe there have not been any sound differences with the DAC200 recent firmware though.
@THANOS Yes to you.I was replied to your comment. Even that doesn’t work. And you have done the update with the T+A adapter? Where you provided this adapter?
I built my own cable using these instructions:
I saw this method but I wasn’t sure if it’s working. Now that you verified that it worked for you i will follow those instructions. Thank you very much
I am facing trouble with dsd256. Playback stops and restarting from beginning. I have to restart rs130 to make it work at best for a song or two before the issue comes again. Initially thought it was a network issue. But the issue happened for external hdd as well indicating it is rs130’s problem. Anyone else faced this?
Please check a few things.
- When the DSD sound source you played stops playing, does the same problem occur when you play a sound source other than a DSD sound source?
- Does the problem occur when you play all DSD sound sources?
- If it is okay, please check if the same problem occurs when you reset your RS130 to the factory settings.
RS130–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
- It happens only for DSD. I have rest of my collection in 44.1 wav. That has no issues. I didn’t have issues with PCM of any sample rate.
- Initially, i tried playing from NAS. Though my network is the constraint. So, i played from usb drive attached to rose. That didn’t help
- Initiated Factory reset. It is running for 30 mins now. Not sure that is normal. Will keep posted.
Usually, factory reset takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
If the factory reset doesn’t work after 10 minutes, reconnect the power cable.
Since DSD sound sources are currently playing normally on our side, I would like to know first if the same symptom occurs after factory reset.
I had to reset by reconnecting the power cable. Tried playing a dsd256 via nas. The playback worked for 2 minutes and then restarted. Again it played for 2 minutes before restarting again.
Here are some additional answers:
-
If you have another network streamer besides the RS130, do you experience the same symptoms when connecting it to the T+A Dac200 via USB?
-
If you have another DAC besides the T+A Dac200 on your RS130, do you experience the same symptoms when connecting it via USB?
-
Do you get an error message when the DSD sound source stops playing? (Playback error or a pop-up saying that the USB DAC is disabled)
-
When you connect the RS130 and the T+A Dac200 via USB, do you experience the same symptoms when connecting them to a different USB port?
I am able to fix the issue by doing a db scan. Looks like if i play dsd from network or usb without scanning the source folder, it is running into trouble. If i scan it and then play, it is working flawless.
