Hello, I recently purchased a HiFi Rose RS130, and I am unable to get a video signal out of the HDMI port to my TV. I’ve set the RS130 output setting to HDMI, and when I play video via RoseTube, the video appears on the HiFi Rose display as expected. Then, when I tap the TV button (on the upper right of the touch screen) to toggle from Off to On, I get the following error message: “The HDMI function is not ready for use. Please check the HDMI connection status.”
I have tried multiple new HDMI cables (to make sure it wasn’t a cable issue), confirmed that the HDMI cable was firmly inserted on both ends, and confirmed that the TV was set to the correct input source. (Also, this is a brand new high-end TV, so it’s a fully modern HDMI port on the TV.) Can I please get some guidance on resolving this issue? Thank you!
Make sure to update the RoseTube and set the resolution to lower setting (1080p) first to make it work.
The Hifi Rose RS130 marketing info states 4k video is supported. So why does the user need to set RS130 to 1080p - is there a 4k video bug on RS130.
RoseTube is the latest version.
When I attempt to change the video output resolution, I get the following error message: “The HDMI resolution change has failed.”
What do you suggest I try next?
Unplug the power and turn it on to see if it works
I unplugged, waited a few minutes, rebooted, and tried everything again. No change in behavior.
Sorry, I am trying to help, but not to insulting you, by any chance that you connect to I2S, not to HDMI Output?
Hah, not insulting at all – or, rather, you’re insulting my A/V contractor who set up the system – and you asked exactly the right question, because yes, they connected the HDMI cable to the I2S port, rather than HDMI, problem solved, thank you!
Exactly, in beginning it was almost always user error
