RS130 I2S link to DAC pin out

Hello Rose

I am new RS130 user. I want to connect RS130 to my DAC via I2S.

I2S Cable: Tubulus Concentus i2s Cable V2
DAC: Audio Mirror Tubadour V
DDC: Audio GD DI-20HE

I have chosen on RS130 function menu IN/OUT setting

  • B Mode: No sound
  • A Mode: Sound ok but little background noise appear approximately every 10s

Connecting RS130 —>USB–> DDC —same I2S cable → DAC produce good sound.

DAC I2S input follow PS Audio standard, as below

  • Pin 7: LRCK/DSDR+
  • Pin 9: LRCK/DSDR-
  • Pin 4: BCLK/DSDCLK+
  • Pin 6: BCLK/DSDCLK-

The pinout of the RS130 is in the manual available at HiFi Rose online. You should be able to find the pinout of the device you want to connect to from that manufacturer website

I tried using a RS130 I2s output A it’s the PS Audio standard into my Denafrips Terminator-15 DAC I2s input set for the PS Audio standard 100 first light on second and third light off with a Tubulus concentus Is2 HDMI cable or Wireworld Silver Spear 48 HDMI cable sometimes it will work fine and other times I’ll get static. I can’t figure out why and neither can products support at Denafrips nor can anybody on any blogs i’ve joined. But when I use the RS130 USB output with a Audioquest Coffee USB into the Denafrips Hermes DDC and the Tubulus Concentus Is2 cable or Wireworld Silver Spear 48 HDMI the sound is pristine, no dropouts, no problems.Whatsoever. i am stumped, so i’ve left the Hermes DDC in the chain not by choice but by necessity. also on the Denafrips Terminator-15 DAC I have tried every pin out combination with no better luck.
