RS130 music files on NAS not playing

Hi everybody,

I am the new user of RS130 and I am facing a malfunction (?) that I am not able to solve through reading other threads. After few hours of testing I was successfull in connecting NAS music directories and loading them into ROSE (40ths tracks). I see the albums, artwork etc. however when trying playback, nothing happens (the iOS shows message “a music selected” but nothing happens). I did tried to play it directly from the machine but it shows an icon of missing track and shows message “Audio source not found” when selected. However when I go to the folders/file overview and I click on the icon of play at the top of the display the whole album starts to play. Full album suddenly also appears at the future playlist in the iOS app (In the sliding menu on the right side) and I can also change tracks (but only on tracks that I have played or that are in the current album). Just a remark - this approach doesnt work through the iOS app, only on the machine itself.

Please anyone have some suggestions how to fix it? I have no special characters in login and password for NAS. Roon is still not working on RS130 and this is the only way to play my own music at this moment … Thanks!!!

Hello Jan, you may have a look on settings > Audio settings > Song play options! I have set to “Play from here” so that when I select the song it will play immediately… The default option adds the song/album into playlist and will play only when the current song queue is ended…

BTW, RS130 is not yet roon certified… now I enable DLNA from my NAS and use the RS130 player to stream the music file to my DAC…

Further to your issue If this is network or device fault, may need ROSE support to further identify the root cause.

@JanN

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

RS130–>Music–>Settings at the bottom left–>Media Library–>Select Nas and click Rescan DB. Currently, your NAS is connected to the RS130, but it seems that the album stored on the NAS could not be loaded from the RS130.

Roon authentication is still in progress.
There are many other products waiting to be certified by Roon, so the schedule continues to be delayed.
We will try to complete the certification as soon as possible.

Thank you

Hi Rosehan,

Thanks for the fast answer! I did rescan the database and still the same problem. I have also tried to put RS130 into factory settings and log again NAS, map it and rescan - but no change. Is there anything I can do? I have also tried to mount only one folder to test if the amount of data is not too big. Still the only way to play the song is directly on the machine through folders …

Btw I understand the issue with Roon, however it doesnt play even through the airplay (Shows message to restart). Would you expect the certification in weeks or rather in months? I know that this is outside of your contro, but may be you have some expected date …

Thanks for aour help!

Jan

@JanN

Please check a few things.

  1. When you say that the icon of missing track is displayed on the RS130, does the track play normally if you load your NAS from the computer instead of the RS130?
  2. Is the icon of missing track displayed normally in the iOS RoseConnect app?
  3. If there is an icon of missing track and a track that can be played in the album, if you play the entire album, will the icon of missing track be played as well?

Thank you

Does your problem still exists? I have a similar one…
