@SCM2016

Please answer a few questions.

  1. When connecting RS130 and DAC, can you take a picture of the detailed USB output settings (gear icon) in the input/output settings and send it to me?
  2. Even if you play all DSD 64~512 audio sources, will they all be played in PCM the same way?

Hi

Attached the Pic the setting page that I selected Native DSDl, and play dsd64 and dsd256 also converted to pcm.

Simon

With a true native DSD, It works fine here…

It looks like your source files are already
converted to PCM BEFORE entering your streamer… Please check your source settings.

but I connect with I2S it can play in DSD,
I have spend lot of tieme to test on this but it’s not work in USB in my case.

let the Rose team provide me some work solution.

never heard the soure file it can converted by itself.

Well… I never saïd it can convert ‘by itself’… But for instance, if the file is coming from my PC with Jriver, JRIVER can do it !

What is your source file system ?

I believe it not related on the soure file, as it can play in dsd when using I2S.

thanks for care of this, but just let’s the Rose team to advise on their USB connection capabilies even the dac usd input are able to support dsd up to 512.

Hi Rose team

Pending your feedback and solution on the RS130 USB connection why converted the DSD to PCM itself???

Simon

@SCM2016

As a result of checking your DAC, it is confirmed that your DAC does not support DSD when connected to a Linux-based device via USB.

Since Rose devices are all Linux-based products, when we checked the Linux kernel built into the RS130, we confirmed that it does not support DSD when your DAC is connected via USB.

Unless this is fixed on the Linux side, it is difficult for us to help.
If you look at the link below, there are users who are having similar problems as you.

If you want to listen to DSD sound as is, set the DSD mode to DOP on RS130.

Thanks for the checking and information.

After try play DSD in DOP mode only allow to play up to dsd128, and show the error message as attached.

please check also my dac not support?

this is dsd256 file but not support in USB Connection in DOP mode

@SCM2016

As you can see from the table below, if you set the DSD mode to DOP in RS130, it supports up to DSD 256 according to external DAC specifications.

The error message above shows that if your DAC is set to DOP, it only supports up to DSD128 and an error message appears when playing DSD256.

Additionally, if you look at the link below, you can see that your DAC only supports up to DSD128 when set to DOP in DSD mode.

noted thanks for checking and information
