RS130 responding very slow

@ROSEHAN

My RS130 is responding very slow at this moment.
Few days ago all worked ok.
For example, if I turn on Vu meter it takes around 2 minutes before it appears and then the needles don’t move
If I turn Vu meter off, again it takes few minutes before they turn off.
Also I get random messages I have to restart the machine for stable operation.
Also the remote doesn’t work anymore to turn the rs130 on and off although it’s connected properly.
I did a full reset already but the issue remains.
I’m starting to regret buying this unit a bit
You have any ideas how to solve this?

Did you unplug the power cord after putting the RS130 into standby mode?
If not, do so, and wait a minute before plugging it back in.

I did, for 1 hour.
But still the same problem

How old is the RS130?

The only button in the app which responses as it should is the lcd screen on/off button.
Also the standby button doesn’t work anymore.
If I press it the screen turns black but the music keeps playing. Then after 5 minutes it turns off.
Very strange, I’m starting to believe it’s a hardware error

About 1,5 year, so still in warranty

We’ll see what answer Hifi Rose provides here…
In any case, it’s a very curious symptom.
It’s very likely a hardware problem…

:woozy_face:

@ROSEHAN can you please give me an answer for this issue?
I still have warranty until 8-8-2025 so if it’s a hardware problem I need to send it in within 2 weeks

Does this mean your RS130 is almost two years old?

Yes, time flies :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I thought it was between 1 year and 1,5 year but the invoice says 8-8-2023

When I switched on my RS130 today from standby mode everything works fine again.
No 2-3 minutes waiting for a response after touching a button.
Remote works again without lag
Am I happy? Yes and no because in fact I like to know what caused this issue which was there for 3-4 days.
I mailed my reseller to take note about this issue because in 2-3 weeks it’s out of warranty.
No answer from hifi Rose yet :frowning:
But for now I can enjoy my music again

It’s possible this is a software issue.
A background task could be slowing down the user interface.
Did you have a database being indexed?
A disk being formatted?

Non of these, just tried to play music
So really no clue

Your internet will clear up sooner than later.

@Bitspeed

I would like to ask you to confirm a few things.

  1. Does your RS130 operate slowly even after factory reset?
    RS130–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
  2. Does your RS130 power on slowly when you reboot it?
  3. If you send me a video that is easy for me to understand to the email below, I will respond.

Hello RoseHan,

After few days now everything works fine again.
So really no clue what happened.
Now everything is responding like it should again

@Bitspeed

I’m glad the issue is resolved.
If you encounter any other issues, please let me know.
