hi! so i am looking to grab the RS130 and use it as streamer into my Marantz AV10. Just curious…would i benefit from adding an external DAC in between?
my issue is that my setup is 2 channel as well as for 5 channel tv/movies. so i need the av10 for the multi surround.

I think you would benefit. Just use the RS 130 and Dac for a separate input with a two channel output setup . The AV10 has the ability to use HDMI for video only and an external audio input for the two channels coming out of the Dac.

But how would that work when I’m listening to 5.2?

It wouldn’t. You would use the external Dac only for two channel listening. The internal Dac in the Marantz would be used for the Dolby channels.
On second thought I may be wrong because I can use 5.2 with the RS 130 feeding the Dac and then the preamplifier ( I have an Anthem AVM-70 8k).
RS130 + Marantz AV10 is simple
It’s the addition of an external DAC as well that has me stumped and wondering if even worth it
