Good morning from Hamburg/Germany !
Just yesterday evening i installed my new RS130 and wanted USB-DAC connected to my PRIMARE SPA25 which hast an ESS9026PRO Chipset inside via USB-B input connector.
RS130 say “No USB-DAC found!”
Is it imcompatible ?
What can i do ?

Try to reconnect the USB cable and/or take another USB cable.
Also my Rose device had troubles to see the USB DAC at first. Trying a lot different cables, but only with the USB cable delivered with the Rose CD player I got a connection.
Ok, you mean, when both Streamer and Amplifier with DAC inside are powered on …?
For security, it’s the best reconnect the cable while both devices are powered off (and power on at first the Primare and the Rose), but in reality I’ve this done while both devices are powered on…

Please check if PRIMARE SPA25 is on USB input mode.
Also, the USB cable should not be longer than 3 meters.

Primare SPA25 is on USB input mode, yes.
USB Cable is 0,7m and from Audioquest (Cinnamon).
I tried plug out, plug in, nothing happend, no USB-Connect.
Hi Christian, der RS130 scheint etwas empfindlich diesbezüglich zu sein. Es gibt hier irgendwo einen Thread, in dem jemand das Problem mittels einschleifen eines IFI USB Purifier 3 gelöst hat. Vielleicht hilft dir das. Gruß, Stephan

RS130 USB connection to PRIMARE SPA25 still not possible.
I bought an IFI USB Purifier 3, no connection.
I plugged to both alternate USB Port out of RS130, no connection.
I took another USB cable, no connection.
Serveral restarts, after shutdown both units.
Plugged out power cable, restart, no connection.
Conclusion : PRIMARE SPA25 not compatible as well as McIntosh, maybe.
I really don’t know about connecting ground cable to SPA25, it has no ground port.

I have the same issue with my DAC AudioResearch DAC8
When i bought RS130 he doesn’t reconize the DAC (on any USB)
My dealer graciously provided me with a IFi Purifier 3 that I received today
I do same checks as Christian and same issue.

Please answer a few questions.
You said that the external DAC is not recognized in all three USB ports on the RS130 rear. If you have a USB external hard drive or CD Rom, is it not recognized even if you connect it to the USB port on the RS130 rear?
When connecting an external DAC to the RS130 rear, does the same symptom occur even if you replace various USB cables?
If you have a network streamer other than RS130, will it not be recognized even if you connect an external DAC to that streamer?
