The DSD128 or DSD256 file (DSF format) annoying short “pop/crackle” noise problem before playing next song still has not been solved in this version (RS201). Thanks!

Hi, I have updated the software on my RS150 and re-scanned all my database.

When you write:

2. Added and improved features for RS201&RS150&RS250

  • Changed to match the encoding options of CD ripping and playback

Does this includes all the errors I have experienced with CD ripping?

Perhaps not because I have still a Music library full of these errors as shown in these screenshots:

  1. Type/font errors in correspondence of apostrophes/hypens/dashes in album titles (like shown below)
  2. Ripped CD albums split in two parts (like shown below)

Does the change of encoding options in this update covers/includes these issues?

Thanks for your clear reply.

When start playing a song from SSD via the App, the display does not change automatic to the big playback screen. I guess this worked before. Can anyone confirm?

Hello, please check the message.

Thank you

Replied, please check. Thanks!

A new software version 4.1.06 has just popped up on my new RS150B, can you please let me know what has changed? is there any changelog or releasee note available?

Thanks

The “VU METER,” issue still persists. There has been 3 updates and the issue continues. Hifi Rose attempts to fix 10 things, only fixes 5 then breaks 2 that were not broken before. With all due respect Hifi Rose needs to invest more in the software development if you want mass adoption of your products. The average customer wouldn’t tolerate the ongoing and new issues and simply return their devices and seek alternatives. The group of customers you have today are made-up of “early,” adopters and our tolerance level is higher when dealing with issues but our trust and support can only be sustained for so long. Just my insight, take it for what it is. @ROSELOA @admin

I totally agree with you. I think I am acting as a program debugger for Rose rather than an user who has bought the RS201 for almost two years. :disappointed_relieved:

I bought my RS250 because of sound, display and haptics. If it were up to me, Rose should throw out every unnecessary ballast e.g. VU Meter, Weather, Rose FM etc. and concentrate on main functions. I bet software dev would be faster and better then.

Hello,

First of all, I sincerely apologize for the many inconveniences you have experienced.
While pursuing various functions and stability at the same time, it seems to have caused inconvenience to many customers. For now, we are focusing on stability, but there are still unfixed issues.

I guess the ‘VU METER’ issue that you mentioned is about the ROSE display - when you change song, the VU meter on display goes down for a second. We tried to focus on solving it - and solved, so it will be fixed in next update.
Once again, I apologize for not providing a stable ROSE OS. We will do our best to solve the issues you had.

Thank you for the ongoing development and I am keenly aware how difficult it is to please everyone but with that being said when a “novice,” customer is subjected to the new and ongoing bugs they won’t have the wherewithal to continue to support Hifi Rose and simply will go with another brand that just works. Maybe seek input from the “early adopters,” quickly and often to help shape improvements and fixes. I am rooting for Hifi Rose to be a huge success thus my early purchase of the 150b but Hifi Rose is getting the reputation of building solid products with less that solid software. Not a combination for success. Again, just my simple input to better help.

Hello,

Feedback from users is always welcome. Rather, we apologize for not providing a more complete and usable system in advance. Please feel free to give us any suggestion or feedback about ROSE.
To be honest, it’s hard to say that every suggestion will be reflected. This is because the structure of the system, maybe interfere with other functions in some cases. However, if it can be of great help to many users, we will try to reflect it as much as possible.

@ROSELOA Thank you for your reply. I am more concerned about current stability than additional features. I just want to have my system be reliable and work as advertised. Thank you for the ongoing support.
