Hello everybody,
I’m an happy user of a rs150 streamer and use it either with Qobuz or the internal SSD or via Bluetooth.
Today I tried to connect my MacBook first through the Line Input and then with the Optical Input. I selected Line or Optical as the source in the In-Out menu and… nothing. I know I have a signal from the Mac because it works when I connect directly the Amp. But it is impossible to get anything through the rs150.
Many thanks for your help.
Alain
To play music from an external hard drive connected to MacBook, follow the steps below. And it is not playing the sound source in the RoseConnect app, but opening and playing the external hard drive connected to the MacBook.
- In the In/Out settings for RS150b, select USB IN from the Input section.
- Connect the USB-B port on the back of the RS150b to the USB-A port on the PC with a USB cable.
- Play a digital sound source on the PC. Volume is controlled by the PC player volume.
If you select RS150b as the PC’s sound output, the sound will be played from RS150b.
Thank you @ROSEHAN for your answer.
I was maybe not clear enough.
- In the RS150b I select USB or LINE or OPTICAL as input as you mentioned
- I connect the Mac with RS150b either with an USB or RCA or Optical cable
- I play a music with the volume at max on the Mac and… nothing
What is strange is that on Mac usually when a DAC is connected through USB it is automatically detected and it appears in the list of Audio Outputs. But when I connect my RS150b… nothing appears.
So I suspect a problem (HW ? SW ?) on the RS150b. What do you think ?
Alain
Signals input through PC-USB IN-RS250 only have OPT/COAX/RCA (analog) output.
The USB Audio/HDMI output terminal cannot be used.
And when connecting a PC and RS150b, it must be connected only via USB.
Connect the USB-B port on the back of the RS150b to the USB-A port on the PC with a USB cable.
Please capture the screen shown in the input/output settings of your RS250 and send it to me.
Hello @ROSEHAN,
Again, thank you for the support to solve the problem.
I will take a picture of the settings.
Regarding outputs, I’m always using analog (RCA) outputs, never HDMI or USB.
And I’m only connecting ONE link (either USB or LINE or OPTICAL), never several at the same time.
@ROSEHAN
Here are the pictures.
I show the problem on LINE input.
When I connect the RCA cable to the Amp it’s working but on RS150 it’s not.
