RS150 USB Problem

To whom it may concern,
I’ve been using RS150 however after i updated to OS 3.8.11 SW, there has been some issue.
When i use usb type b to play music, the volume is really soft, you can barely hear the music. Please advise solution. Thanks

Would you tell me how you organized your audio system?
maybe…
PC(MAC) → (USB) → RS150 → (RCA) → AMP(PM-10) → SPK… something like this?

  1. What did you play? Youtube from PC? Or used any other players?

  2. No problem before 3.8.11 update?

1.i-o data soundgenic → usb → RS150 → xlr → Mcintosh preamplifier → xlr → Mcintosh power amplifier

2.wav, flac, dsd files…

So you mean the volume is not enough,

  1. Is there any stuff in i-o data soundgenic that can control volume? If so, is it set to maximum?

  2. Would you try to unplug the power of RS150 and reboot?

  3. How about when you play music without i-o datasoundgenic?
    When you play music from RS150, maybe you can try radio in RS150. Does the sound still has problem?

Hello,

It’s very unusual because when RS150 is in USB-IN mode, it just works as a DAC.
Which means the RS150 can not control volume.

Do you have Windows PC or MAC? If so, how about checking the situation if it’s the same on Windows or MAC?

WINDOWS/MAC → USB → RS150 → Mcintosh preamplifier → xlr → Mcintosh power amplifier
