This seems odd. It recognizes a Denafrips Pontus II DAC instantly but with the Holo Audio Spring 3 it only recognizes that DAC when I power off the RS150B and then power it back on.
What do you think is happening and how would I fix it?

A short report, how the 2 DAC beat each other would be very nice. Curious if the difference is large.
USB is a bitch sometimes - have you tried just switching Input on the Rose?
Is the Rose running, when you change the DAC?
The Spring 3 sounds a bit more vivid and energetic (of course this all depends on your chain). The Pontus for the money can’t be beat. I purchased the Terminator II because I wanted more Pontus (if that makes sense). I already sold the Spring so now more testing

I think, the May DAC KSE is more in the Terminator Region.
I would also go for the Terminator II - even I prefer the design of the Spring and May over Denafrips.
My chain will get an upgrade to Magico A5 (which sound great with the Rose RS150).
of course we are never at the end
