RS150b or RS250a

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking of trading in my 250a for a 150a. I’m sure I’m not the first to take this step, so I was wondering of someone could tell me something about the differences in sound quality.
The Rose will be connected via XLR to a Michi X3 and MA Gold 200 5g speakers.

Thanks in advance
Hans

Personally I have had the RS250 in the past (I have had the 150B model for 2 years now) and I have also listened to the 250A model at a friend’s.

Differences:
The 150B has more detailed sound and above all it offers a more natural and focused sound image (after all we are talking about a machine that costs twice as much).

Cons (but not essential):
The front display is much less detailed than the 250 models.

Without a shadow of a doubt you must use quality XLR cables to make it express itself at its best!

Personally I would really like to switch to the 130 + 160 model but I would have to donate a part of my body to be able to buy them!!

Yesterday my RS150b arrived and I have to say that the difference is bigger than I expected. Way more separation between instruments, it sounds more effortless, the soundstage is much broader and deeper than with the 250. I am very happy!
Now let’s hope that we can update safely from the early access version to a stable official version soon.
