RS150b refuses to connect to PC

In the past, I was able to edit metadata on the hard drive in my RS150b using my pc via my home network.

Today I attempted to do this and the RS150b refused to connect.

I have installed all updates, including one that just popped up two days ago.

When I checked the storage settings I was forced to create a pin code, and after doing that I saw a list of storage settings that I didn’t understand and don’t remember ever seeing before.

Are these settings the reason connection is refused?

Am I forgetting something? What am I doing wrong?

Never mind, I figured it out.

Yes, you’ve to activate the SMB settings. Otherwise your PC will not see the storage on your Rose device.

Exactly, SMB settings must be enabled

When I watched the video posted by Ericd, I don’t understand what ID, Password and workgroup are referring to.

Am I creating a new ID and password, or am I supposed to be providing an ID and Password that already exists. Also, what the heck is a workgroup?

I can now manipulate the files on the hdd in my RS150b, as I remembered the step that I omitted, namely opening the Run application, entering the IP address, name and password. I can then use the File Manager app to access the files.

I would still like to understand what Ericd provided.

Thanks to all who replied.

I have a mac-mini. I go to finder/go/connecrt to server/server IP and is done. I have installed the last version.

@oilheadoug

You can set the ID and password to anything that is easy for you to remember.
There is no need to set the workgroup separately.

Please check the video in the link below.
It provides a very detailed explanation.

After watching the video, please let me know which part of the process causes the issue so that I can assist you further.
