@Brontoleo

Thank you for the information.

Could you please answer the following questions?

  1. Does the issue still occur even after disabling and then re-enabling your ROSE device in Roon > Settings > Audio ?
  2. When the connection fails, do you see any error messages? If so, please let us know what they say.
  3. Are you using only the RS150B, or are you also using an external DAC?

Thank you.

Thank you for answering me.
After the new system update, the Rose disappears in Roon, as if it’s not there or turned off. I use the 150B alone; I don’t have another DAC. I’ve tried many times, updating Roon, removing the firewall from both Windows and the router, but that hasn’t changed anything. With Spotify, however, everything is as it was before. Just yesterday I fixed it by installing the official version 5.11, and everything is back to normal.
Thanks again!

Thank you for sharing the results of the additional verification.

Good evening,
I am still having issues with the Rose 150B and Roon; currently, it is only detected via AirPlay. How can I fix this? The old firmware worked fine… is it not possible to revert to a previous version? Thanks.

@Brontoleo

It is possible to revert to a previous firmware version.

However, before doing so, we would like to identify the cause of the issue that occurred after updating to the latest firmware, where your RS150B is no longer properly detected by Roon.

If you would like to downgrade, please send us an email requesting the previous firmware update file at the email address below. We will reply with the appropriate firmware file and instructions.

Thank you.

Good morning,
I use the Rose150B via Wi-Fi and have never had issues with Roon. Since this firmware update, however, it is as if the Rose is no longer “Roon Ready.” I installed the latest version of Roon; the Rose appeared briefly—though it looked semi-transparent—but vanished the moment I clicked its icon. Now it doesn’t show up at all. I even tried connecting via Ethernet directly to the router, but nothing changed. The strange thing is that Spotify still detects it and works perfectly. Roon also works if I enable AirPlay, though I am certain the sound quality isn’t the same.
Could something have broken inside the Rose? Among the various troubleshooting steps, I even tried using a different computer—connected via Ethernet with a fresh installation—but to no avail.
I am very satisfied with the Rose, although I struggle to get good sound quality using the stock player (VLC), especially when I rip a track and then listen to it from the HDD installed inside the Rose. The sound becomes darker and the soundstage narrower. I also use your CD-ROM drive, which sounds excellent. At this point, I’m not sure what to do, but I’d like to try reverting to the old firmware—I believe the version prior to 5.11.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Leonardo
