RS150B working only as a bridge and not an end point for Roon

Hi,

You have never gave me a clear answer to the questions below. Would you kindly give me a solution for Roon on RS150B.

Regards,

Tarek Mahmoud

I am trying to contact you for answers for the last 2 weeks but I don’t receive a clear answer to solve the problems that I encountered since buying the RS150B:

I can’t connect Roon to the storage on the RS150 and I tried the same path as on my MacBook Pro ://192.168.1.9:8080/storage/ROSEDISK/Album/ but I am receiving the error message UNEXPECTEDERROR) , I tried different combinations for the above address without success. What is the solution?
I use the RS150B as Roon bridge and it is working

I used your community site to resolve these problems without success!

Tarek

Hi Tarek,

To use the storage connected to RS150 as a network share,

  1. Go to ‘Settings->Storage Settings → SMB ID/PW settings’ in RS150 and set ID/PW.

  2. From Roon
Go to ‘Settings → Storage’, select ‘Add network share’, and enter the information below.

If SSD is installed in RS150 and the disk name is ‘rosedisk’,

Network share location
\192.168.1.9\rosedisk

Username
“SMB ID”

Password
“SMB Password”

Then, select the ‘Add network share’ button.

Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I have followed your instructions to the letter in spite the fact that I had tried it before. You can see the screenshot and I hope that you will be able to give a solution.

Tarek

A copy from my safari address:
http://192.168.1.9:8080/storage/ROSEDISK/Album/

The address(http://192.168.1.9:8080/storage/ROSEDISK/Album/) you copied is the webdav share address. To add a shared folder in Roon, you need to connect via SMB.

Did you enable SMB setting on RS150 as shown in the picture below?!

Hi Kevin,

For sure it is done. You have seen that my login is rose and I placer the same password. I could be clumsy but not totally…

Regards,

Tarek

Yesterday, I followed the instructions of roon and had put the smb related to my Macbook pro as you can see on the screenshot, but it didn’t work.

Hi Kevin,

I am still waiting for a solution to get Roon connected to the storage on RS150B.

I gave you the answers for all your questions.

Best,

Tarek Mahmoud

Hello Tarek,

Please check this video.

  1. Is there any difference with you and the video?
    https://youtu.be/JlIE8o9Z_gE

  2. Also, can you connect your MAC and RS150B in MAC system? (not via ROON)

  • MAC > Move > Connect to Server (COMMAND + K)
  • smb://123.456.789.01
  • Login and select your storage in ROSE

Hi Kevin,

I have tried everything to get connected to Rosedisk, but I didn’t succeed. All what you had sent I had followed before and after. I am always receiving the error message from Roon control. I am using as login: rose and my password is correct because it lets me connect through my Apple MacBook Pro.
