Thanks for your response. I saw this response earlier in the thread and I get the thought process. On that earlier submission, you said you would also take user’s perspective into account. I was just putting my vote in for adding EQ to the RS 151 with a future firmware update. Another user suggested making this a feature that can be fully disabled so that the RS 151 would operate exactly as it does today for the purists. For the rest of us that could use just a little extra control to optimize our specific configuration (both gear and room), we would like to be able to enable the parametric EQ. Just providing some user feedback to take into future planning for upgrades. Thanks!
any progress on that?
just from your letter at 26th of Sep., may you still remeber

Our Promise
HiFi Rose will continue to listen closely to the voices of our customers, uphold the commitments we make, and place customer satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.
We deeply appreciate your unwavering trust and support, and we look forward to rewarding you with even more advanced products and services.
Thank you.
Dear HiFi Rose users
We have had extensive internal discussions regarding this feature request. However, we have decided not to support EQ functionality on our high-end products.
If there are any changes to this decision in the future, we will be sure to inform you.
Rosehan,
That was a clear definitive statement. Thank you, Rosehan.
StandardModel
This company seems to have nothing but script kiddies making small changes to the software. Every time they fix one issue, they introduce ten more. Then they try to explain the lack of a parametric EQ with completely nonsensical arguments, when the real reason is obvious: they simply don’t have the money or resources to develop it properly.
In reality, it’s just a small company trying to make big money by putting a large screen on the 151 device. Sad but true. The 151 with proper room correction, parametric EQ, and a decent app (actual app is compledly crap - comparable to eversole etc) would be an absolute killer product.
But apparently customers are just a**holes to them — they clearly don’t care.
It’s worse than that. Proper DRC, sure, it would take either more programming expertise to develop than Rose has, or some money to license. But PEQ – they have PEQ in other models, running exactly same software. It would work on 151 with no changes to what they already have. They just have consciously decided to market to “audiophiles” who are scared of all the nasty, scary, science-y words like “DSP” that have no MAGIK! in them, not to people who are interested in quality sound reproduction.
It might even make commercial sense for their market niche, but with the current direction I would not expect any state of the art sound quality from them that one gets even from budget (but competently made) gear in 2026.
I just wait for the eversolo dm10 successor, this will cover all what I need for an stressless pleasend audio injoiment. A big screen it definitly not nessary (Yes I leanrd that).
Eversolo have:
- superb app with exelent UI and stability
- all 2-6 month stressless firmware upgrade with real improvements
- PEQ
- Room correktion
upps I realize this all point wich i miss with my actual RS 151.
my RS will than go to ebay and than Goooooodbye HIFI Rose
Curious, what does DMP-A10 not doing currently that you need?
No, you are misunderstanding.
We did not originally support EQ on the RS250A either, but we added it later based on customer requests.
However, in the case of the RS151 and RS150B, as mentioned above, the RS151 is designed as a high-end reference network player, and its core philosophy is to deliver the most accurate and unaltered sound possible. For this reason, the device does not include an internal EQ (equalizer).
The piece correction on the Eversolo is a real disaster, you have to be undemanding to appreciate it
True ! I can confirm the DSP implemented by Eversolo DMP-A10 PEQ or room correction is actually ‘damaging’ the sound… and must not be engaged !
But since it seems available for the RS250 (?), HIFIROSE should also make it available (as a marketing tool) and let the user decide to use it or not, instead of creating this frustration for those demanding customers…
If one does not know how to use EQ (or anything else) of course one can “damage” the sound, whatever that could possibly mean.
Homegrown room correction in EverSolo is (so far anyway) nowhere in the league with Dirac, RoomPerfect, and other established solutions, but sat least they are working on it.
In the 21st century, a device that can not do even the basic equalization, bass management, and really even a half-decent DRC is obsolete before it has even been released.
Guess what… ‘damaging the sound’ means of course creating clearly audible music distorsion, simply by switching on the DSP, even without any EQ !
Which, of course, is not the case with any properly designed and applied DSP. Like the EQ that both EverSolo and Rose pulled from some GitHub repo. Applying some science-y sounding sinc resampling filter from HQPlayer that no audiophile comprehends the meaning (or lack of purpose of)… sure that can do all kinds of odd things to the sound. Applying EQ does not, unless one, like somebody who had posted here a few years ago, bumps every EQ band up and does not lower the overall gain. But that’s sort of expected from people who subscribe to the “more money more better” school of equipment evaluation.
Yes, exactly! That is why I bought a system that goes to eleven. Typical high-end systems only go to ten, but think about it, when you are playing at ten, where can you go from there? That’s right, nowhere. That is why mine goes to eleven. When I need that last little push, I turn it up to eleven. It is one louder.
That’s because your system is not revealing and high-end enough! Real high-end goes to 12 as a minimum!!!

If my system were any more revealing I would have to put a sign on my door saying that no one under 18 is permitted to enter.
Well, properly revealing systems do imply obscene price tags, so you probably should!
If you keep bullying me Boris I may have to flag your post!
