Hello, I have a subwoofer b&w DB4S I can not use it because the output volume is fixed.
I returned to the store and it has the same problem on the RA180.
All amplifiers have a variable output.
Can you fix the problem?
Hello @willyx
The RA180 only supports the active subwoofer function.
The volume is output as a fixed value.
Thank you
I checked in the manual of my subwoofer it is active
when i turn up the volume of the ra180 i should constantly adjust the volume of the subwoofer.
the bass is not in adequacy with my speakers.
I have been informed by a professional dealer, they told me that no amplifier on the market has a fixed output
regards
This makes absolutely no sense! Are you telling me that the subwoofer output is fixed? I just hooked mine up for the first time today and this is crazy. The output does go off at volume level zero, but that thing is bumping as soon as it’s not zero. Fix this! Can you please explain to everyone why it is fixed output?
You’re right. Most amplifiers have adjustable output volume, but the RA180 volume output as a fixed value.
It’s just a way to adjust the volume on an active subwoofer.
Thank you
Hi
Just purchased a RA180, and have the same issue with my Speakercraft sub, the fixed output sub signal are useless as it dont adjust the signal depended of the volume settings. Most subs have a manual volume control, so its not possible to adjust the volume on the sub while playing music. After my opinion this is an issue for a lot of people, and should be written in the RA180
s spec, as it is important information…
Still no comment from HifiRose about this! Hello?
