RS250 cannnot be shut down or restarted when staying in standby mode for too long

@ROSELOA I found the on-screen power and restart button (shows up when pressing the physical power button for 3s) and those in the remote of Rose Connect App didn’t work after staying in standby mode for a day or two. I had to long press the physical power button to shut down RS250. Is this normal? Will forced shut down damage the unit? Thanks!

Not normal here. My RS250 can be started via App even if it was in standby for some days. My RS250 has a fixed IP, perhaps you could try, if not already done.

Thanks for your reply. I could wake up RS250 with the remote in Rose Connect App and put it back to standby mode, but couldn’t shut it down or restart from the App or from on-screen buttons. Everything went back to normal after I force-restart.

My unit freezes regularly and I have to hard reset it by unplagging from mains. I does not cause any damage whatsoever.

Thanks. Good to know. I hope HiFi Rose team can improve stability in upcoming firmware updates.

Hello,

We apologize for any inconvenience.
I’ll see if there are any related bugs.

Thank you!
Does force-shut down of RS250 (long press the physical power button) have any detrimental effects?

I’ve never had any problems by shutting down the RS250 by forcing the shutdown, and this saves electricity.

Thanks! Hopefully this is just a fixable software glitch.

Hi there, with regard to 150 analogue /phono in, does this input have a A to D AT THE INPUT TO CONVERT in to digital to feed the internal dac if it does i cant see the point , if you feed the input with analogue out of a cd player what would be the point, you might as well take digital from cd player. thanks

Hello,

I’m not sure how you’re trying to use RS150B,

RS150B has LINE IN and RS150B can work as a ADC, and then even DAC again.
