RS250 playing from CD issue

Hi Support,

I’m using RS250 unit with Rose external CD drive .

There seems to be an issue where I couldn’t play CD after going back to CD player function the 2nd time.
When I return back to play CD function the 2nd time, I can see the tracks on CD playing function but it couldn’t play any of the tracks. I’ve to eject the CD, insert back to play. I’ve tried other CDs and still having the same issues, so this eliminate any bad CDs

Can you pls check and resolve? Thanks!

Hello,

  1. RS250 > CD play > Go back to home menu > CD play again, then you can’t play any of the tracks?

  2. The CD play should start automatically if you touch ‘CD play’, but it doesn’t start and it doesn’t work even if you touch the tracks?

  3. What’s your ROSE ID?
    (RS250 > Settings > SystemInfo > ROSE ID)

  4. Can you tell me one of the CDs with the issue?

Thank you

Hi Support,

Like to check if there’s any resolution for this issues?

Hello,

It’s fixed in test version. It will be added in next update.

Hello, do you have any solution to fix on next update as I have same issue. My RS250 could not play any CD, we can see the track but can’t play any. Eject then insert CD again and disapeared all tracks, empty at all. Rip CD also is the same issue, see the track name but when start to rip the % progresive is zero, nothing to happen.

@DienNgo

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

It appears to be a compatibility issue between your CD Rom and the Rose device.

It may be a cable issue. I wonder if you could try using all USB cables. What type of USB cable is your current USB cable?
If the cable length is long, the above problem may occur.

Ok, let me try other cables and see how is result. Thanks

I tryed many cables but all were fail. I should forget these functions on my Rose RS250.
Anyway thank for your instruction and guidance.

@DienNgo

I have relayed to the software team the name of the CD Rom model you are using and the symptoms you are experiencing. We will check the issue further.

After a month with the RS 250A I was thinking of investing in the CD -ROM and additional 4 TB internal drive to record and store my CDs. After reading several posts in the forum, I see several CD-Roms work with the streamer. I am extremely happy to find my Apple Superdrive works flawlessly with the RS 250A

I’m burning down the house!
