RS250 won't play from Synology NAS

New Rose owner here. I’m not having any luck playing files from my Synology NAS. The RS250 can locate the NAS and I can enter user ID/password then select the “Music” folder. I can see all of the artist folders and albums etc. The Rose won’t play or scan the the files though. It says “No such file or directory”. SMB 1 is enabled. Tried on the Rose Connect app too. I have no problems connecting to the NAS via Bluesound Node or SACD player.

Tidal and other apps are working fine

Few questions for you to answer.

  1. What do you use RoseConnect android or RoseConnect iOS?

  2. Can’t the sound source play on RS250 like when it works on a mobile phone?

  3. Are there any special characters in ID/PW or path?

  4. Can’t the sound source on all your albums play? Can some sound sources be played?

  5. Please tell me the name of the NAS model you are using.
