RS250A as UPnP/DLNA server

Hi everyone,

My first post here. I am searching for a suitable DLNA server all-in-one solution that has good build quality, nice looks and adequate functionalities, and RS250A appears to be a beautiful product, especially with its amazing screen. Certainly much nicer than any NAS or Raspberry Pi or NUC, provided it can do what I need.

What I want to know is whether this device can function as a pure UPnP/DLNA server that is able to cast bit-perfect signal to a suitable DLNA renderer via the Rose app as a DLNA control point?

To make things simpler: if I put an SSD storage with my hi res audio files inside it, can I use the Rose app to select a DLNA renderer (my active speakers) on the network and cast/control the audio stream via the app, whilst having the audio track metadata shown on the screen?

If that’s possible, I would highly appreciate some screenshots.

Features related to searching and adding DLNA/UPnP media are not yet being considered for support.
Once the areas that require priority development are sorted out in the future, we will reconsider whether to support it.
