RS250A - Can't connect Qobuz or my DAC

I am having two issues with my brand new RS250A

  1. I can’t figure out how to connect Qobuz to the Rose app

  2. The Rose app cannot identify my PS Audio Perfectwave DS DAC. I am trying to connect through the USB out on the Rose

Any advice will be appreciated.

Update…I have successfully connected Qobuz to my account. But I still cannot get the RS250A to recognize my DAC. I am using an Audioquest Diamond USB A to B cable to try to connect to my PS Audio Perfectwave DS DAC.

Have you tried using a real USB cable?

Not sure why anyone would want to connect a BS Audio to a Rose, which has much better DAC, but to each his own…

I’m sorry for misunderstanding…are you saying that the Rose has a better DAC than the PS Audio? The PS Audio retailed at $7000 and is a Stereophile A+ product. I can’t see how the Rose at $2600 is better.

As a piece of jewelry, probably. As a USB cable, it’s unlikely to even pass USB certification tests.

Yes. Pretty much anything, including Apple’s USB dongle for 10 bucks is a better DAC than BS Audio.

In any case, when troubleshooting connection problems, trying a different cable is a basic first step, even when using a real USB (or Ethernet) cable, something that FraudioQuest does not manufacture.

You mean your dac doesn’t recognise the Rose. There are a lot of settings for usb. Look at the specs for the dac and see if the Rose is set accordingly.
