RS250A - Creating a Playlist

Hello,
My library and the music I listen to most is on an external SSD drive attached to my RS250A. Is there an easy way to create a playlist from those files and folders on the drive?
In the past I had used a PC to play music and had easy access to the music on the drive and was able to just drag and drop the files into a playlist including and music that might be in a subfolder too.
I have 1000s of folders and files and would like an easy way to add specific folders to a playlist.

Is there a way to do this other than taking each file and adding them to a separate folder and just shuffle play that folder?
Looking for some advice.

That works for Tidal and other apps, but how do you add music from an external drive folder into a playlist. I tried doing to the folder and adding the whole folder but it only gives me the options to:
Add to the end of Queue
Empty the queque before adding
Add to direct play
Add to play next
there is no option to add to playlist.
I also have Rose Connect and can’t find a way to do it through the app either.

A database must be created by scanning the files. When this is done, you can add the albums to the playlist

The files have already been scanned. They are listed as scanned in the library.

with Rose Connect Premium app you have to add from “Album” and not from “folder”
