RS250A Doesn't work with Apple Music for Windows

Out of desperation, I installed Apple Music on my Windows 11 laptop. When I tried to connect to my RS250A, I get the message: “The Airplay device ROSE-05 is not compatible with this version of AMPLibraryAgent.” This is the latest version of Apple Music for Windows, the latest version of Windows 11 and the RS250A was just updated to version 5.9 of the OS. Please, please, please FIX THIS.

@Charlie

Please confirm a few things.

  1. Normally Windows11 does not include native support for AirPlay.
    How do you connect Windows 11 and RS250a with AirPlay?
  2. What is the version of your RS250a?
    RS250a–>Settings–>System info–>System version info
  3. Are you trying to connect RS250a with RoseConnect Windows app?
  1. Apple Music comes with built-in Airplay. I have a number of Airplay 2 devices which will connect to my laptop, with Apple Music installed, via Airplay. Apple Music identifies the RS250A as an Airplay-enabled device - it will allow me to select the RS250A for Airplay. When I try to connect, it says there is a problem with that device. My other devices have no problem. For example, the Cambridge Audio CXN100, also a streamer DAC works perfectly with Apple Music for Windows.
  2. System Version Info: 5.9 (Official)
  3. I am not trying to connect the RS250A with Rose Connect Windows App. I am using Apple Music for windows.

@Charlie

Currently, Rose devices only support Airplay 2.

When connecting Apple Music to RS250a via Airplay on Windows 11, RS250a must support Airplay 1.
There are also products that support both Airplay 1 and 2.
However, even if it is modified in the future, we may have to select and activate only one of Airplay 1 or 2.

Here is a response from Google: Yes, Apple Music on Windows 11 does support AirPlay 2, allowing you to stream music to compatible devices. To use AirPlay with Apple Music on Windows, ensure both your PC and the target AirPlay device are on the same Wi-Fi network. You may need to install optional features like “Wireless Display” in Windows settings. When I look for the RS250A in Apple Music, it shows the device which indicates the device should be compatible with Apple Music. When I select the RS250A, I get the error message from Apple Music. This most likely indicates an error in the RS250A’s Airplay 2 implementation.

@Charlie

Currently, our product supports Airplay2 Com among Airplay 2.
We are trying to make it possible to connect Windows and Rose devices with Airplay.

What does “Airplay2 Com” mean? Never seen or heard of this term before.

@Charlie

Sorry, I meant Airplay2 Compatible
