RS250A seems like a great improvement.
Can someone explain why the “a” is an 8-channel DAC?
Does this mean potentially it can support multi channel in the future?
I think the the 8 channel DAC used is simply an upgrade for the RS250. The product is currently a stereo (2 channel) product.
They probably wanted to leverage a superior spec DAC and chose the upgraded chip for the build.
It’s a typical scenario for high-end products to use multichannel DACs for stereo applications.
Having the extra channels allows them to run multiple channels in parallel to control different analog outputs with possible different configs.
I haven’t seen the internal pics of RS250 anywhere. Are they identical to RS250A?
I have a RS250 (and very happy with it).
What standalone DAC should I get to get a similar sound improvement a 250a would provide ?
Thanks,
Hervé
Yes I am curious about this too. Anyone?
