RS250A - Software Update 2024?

Dear friends of HFR.
I would like to know please if there is a full software update for the Hifi Rose RS250A on the way, thank you!

@JMBARG

The current update schedule for the official and EA versions is scheduled for this Thursday.

Hello and thanks for your response!
Excuse my ignorance, what is EA? Thank you

Early access (test version)

I have big problem after software update on my RS250A, it keeps on restarting during media scanning.

@cecilf

Please check a few things.

  1. How long does it take for your RS250a to reboot after booting?
  2. Do you keep rebooting when you scan media after booting?
  3. What are you using, SSD, NAS, etc.?
  4. If you don’t scan the DB, won’t the RS250a reboot?
  5. Does the same thing happen after factory reset?
    Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
  6. If it is the same after factory reset, can you take a video when it reboots?

Dear People!

The only problem I’ve had after the last update for my RS250A is that I constantly want to connect to the Rose server. In my case, I am not interested in connecting to the internet, I use the product in another way.

I’m seeing too many complaints after this latest update, it seems to me that they will have to make a patch or release another version and soon.

How can it be that after months and months of obtaining user feedback, they release a version that still causes problems?

I wish you good luck for the next update version.!!!

Thanks to follow-up. I originally connected with an internal SSD and connect to a NAS through the network. It has been working fine, until a few days ago I turned it on and upgraded to the latest firmware, then it keep restarting with message of restarting for stable operation, it even restart at standby mode. Then I tried to del the DB and rescan and the same happens. I restored the RS250A to factory setting and set it up again. With the SSD scanned and the songs appeared but it still keep restarting once every few minutes. Haven’t got a clue on what happened, maybe I try not to scan the SSD and see if it will be stable

Is the coming update for RS130, as well?

And is the update to fix the proplem of the VU meters constantly re-appearing with every Spotify track, despite being turned off before?

Thanks in advance to Rose team for an answer .

@frank73

We are continuously releasing updates and issues related to the Vu meter have been fixed and released.

@cecilf

It is believed that an error occurred in a specific section during media scanning.
Please answer any additional questions.

  1. Do you see the same symptom even after rebooting the Rose device?

  2. Does the same symptom appear even if you do ADD DB after initializing the DB on the media library screen?

  3. If the same problem occurs even if you add DB after DB initialization as shown above, click Remote Debug.
    Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Remote debug
    (Press Remote debug once and do not turn off the Rose device.)

  4. Please tell us your Rose ID.
    Rose device–>Settings–>System info–>ROSE ID

  5. Additionally, after removing the built-in SSD, check if the same is true if you connect only one other storage device.
    I think we need to check the DB log file.

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. Done
  4. 0D283E
  5. I only connect with the SSD, the link to NAS already removed.

@cecilf

There will be a folder called roseb in your SSD. DB scan-related logs are stored in the roseb folder, and we need to check the logs.
We would appreciate it if you could forward the folder called roseb in your SSD to the email address below.

And lastly, it seems that your SSD has a special character instead of the number “3”. Change the special character to another number and scan again.
